Elveda Anderson James

Elveda Anderson James, 86, born September 9, 1934 in Kidds Crossing, KY, went to be with our Lord on October 6, 2020. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo Harold James (1981) and her daughter, Kathy Lynn Burdge (2016). Survived by her daughter, Kimley Rose James. One of 9 children, she is survived by her brother William Anderson. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Elveda worked at Whiting Manufacturing as a seamstress for many years until she retired in 2000. She was an Avon representative for many years and was a member of their President’s Club. She was also a Sunday school teacher as well as a Girl Scout troop leader for many years. But most importantly, she told and taught anyone who would listen about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a member of the Socialville Baptist Church for 56 years and touched so many lives and would have helped anyone. Elveda James will be remembered as a great Christian woman who loved friends and family with the purest of hearts. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Socialville Baptist Church, 5946 Socialville-Foster Rd., Mason, OH 45040, from 10am until time of Funeral Service  at 11am. Masks and social distancing will be required.
