VAN NIMAN, Emma Jane (nee Pittman) Loving wife of David C. Van Niman. Dear mother of Gary (Lvett), Barry and Joe Shreve. Dear mother to Steven (Elizabeth) Van Niman, Suzanne Van Niman, Victoria (Andrew) Tanen, Christine (Jeff) Stromatt and Christopher (Emily) Van Niman. Also survived by 15 grandchildren. Daughter of Pauline Elliott Estes and the late Aaron Pittman. Sister of Sherill, Patrick and Garnett Pittman. She is also preceded in death by step-father Garland Estes and brother, Paul Gary Pittman. Emma Jane passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born February 21, 1938 in Casey Co. Kentucky. She is a retired secretary for General Electric in Evendale, Ohio and a member of the Green River Christian Church in Yosemite, Kentucky. Visitation at the Hodapp Funeral Home, 7401 Vine St., Carthage, Friday from 6-9 p.m. Graveside service at St. John Cemetery, 1 St. John Rd., Ft. Mitchell, KY 41011, on Saturday at 11 a.m. (please meet inside gate at 10:45 a.m.) In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Disabled American Veterans.
