Erma Ann Amrein (nee Priesmeier)

Erma A. Amrein (nee Priesmeier), passed away on December 22nd, 2024, at the age of 104. A longtime resident of Finneytown, she was the beloved wife for 70 years of the late Peter J. Amrein who passed away in 2016. She was also the sister of the late Louis, Robert and Virginia Priesmeier. She was the devoted Aunt of Cheryl (David) Bowman and Joyce (Rev. Barry) Schaefer, both of Amery, WI. Loving Great-Aunt of Heather (Wayne) Prender and children Claire, Grace and Kate of Lutherville, MD; Anne (Eric Jenkins) Bowman of Flossmoor, IL; Kelly (Jon) Stansbury and children Liam, Emmett, Preston, and Harper of Derby, KS; Erin (Aaron) Stewart and children Sophia, Owen, Greta and Raya of Casper, WY. 

Always an active member of her community, she was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in North College Hill since 1957, a Rosie Red for over 40 years, a member of 55+ Seniors Club and the P&G Ladies Retirees. Erma retired from Procter and Gamble (Ivorydale) main office after 42 years, working in the Payroll department.

Pete and Erma had many dear friends over the years. They loved to travel, taking many cruises and car trips. After retirement, they spent the winter months in St. Petersburg, FL. 

Her family wants to express a sincere thank you to all of her family, friends, and neighbors who have helped care for her over the years allowing her to stay in her home. Erma specifically wanted to recognize the following persons; Paulette Lawrence, Judy Kopp, Dennis Cahill, Dot Kahle, and longtime friends LaVerne Jensen and Lorraine Wilson

Visitation at Hodapp Funeral Home 6041 Hamilton Ave., College Hill 45224 on Saturday January 4, 2025 from 10 AM until service at 11 AM.

Remembrances may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Hospice of Cincinnati, or Journey Church of North College Hill.
