Fr. Berard Doerger, OFM passed away peacefully on January 24, 2016, at the age of 81, at San Juan Diego Friary, Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he served as a missionary for 50 years. He was born January 27, 1935, son of the late Joseph and Marie Doerger; brother of the late JoAnn (Doerger) Speed (Don), Pat Doerger, the late Elaine (Doerger) Dinkelaker, Jerry Doerger, Rita (Doerger) Gullette (Jim) and Rich (Judy) Doerger; uncle and great-uncle of many nieces and nephews. Gathering at St. Clement Church, St. Bernard, on Monday, February 8, from 9:30 a.m. until Mass at 10:30. Burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Southwest Franciscans, 1204 Stinson St. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121.
