Fred A. Heitzman

Heitzman, Fred A., Jr. passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2010. Devoted husband of 67 years to Laverne (nee Meyer). Father of Judd (Cindy), Jeff (Debbie), Tom, Cinder Beuerlein and Andy (Melanie). Fred is also survived by eight grandchildren Lindsay, Michael, Matthew, Elise, Katie, Luke, Audrey and Logan and one great grandchild Andrew. Mr. Heitzman was born and raised in Cincinnati. He grew up in Hyde Park attended Withrow High School and graduated from Kentucky Military Institute. He attended the University of Cincinnati where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Fred began his career in the coal business as a salesman for Old Ben Coal. He was Vice President of Mt. Lookout Savings & Loan and was involved in several small businesses. Mr. Heitzman owned and operated Queen City Marine Corporation for many years. He owned a farm in Brown County Ohio, was involved in a cabinet manufacturer in Sarasota Florida and founded Innergreen, Inc. an interior plantscaping business in Cincinnati. Fred was an avid golfer and a past member of Kenwood Country Club and Hyde Park Country Club. He was a man of the highest integrity, loved practical jokes and loved being with people. His smile and sense of humor will be missed. Services will be held at Good Shepherd Church, 8815 E. Kemper Rd., Tuesday, November 23 at 12:00 noon with a reception following.
