Freda Alene Singleton 6.10.38-3.23.16
She was married to Robert Dale Singleton for 58 years at the time of his death. They were always together. Mom was his eye & ears and Dad was her hands & feet. She was very brave these past two years even though truly half her heart was in Heaven.
They were blessed with only one child-Connie La-Dell Singleton, but rich with grandchildren-Angela Palmer, Christy South, Nathan Beckelhymer, & Sara Baas and great-grandchildren Alexis & Jessica Palmer, Tori & Anthony South, Hannah & Cody Beckelhymer & Orion Baas.
She was one of the pioneers of the Volunteer Life Squad & taught First Aid. She was a Girl Scout Leader & Youth Group Director impacting many of the local youth.
She loved working on model trains with Dad, watching The Red’s, camping, making crafts & going to yard sales.
She loved the Lord—loved Jesus…”Testify to Love” was her theme song and the reason she felt her life was spared so many times.
She loved her family-one of the 11 children of the Watson clan!
She loved her only child-we shared our birthdays which was always so special to both of us!
During our final nights together, unforgettable memories were created…
She reached out, hugged us all tight, and told us, “I love you”…what a gift!
When the time came, it was so peaceful and we could just envision my Daddy holding out his hand and my Mommy standing up strong & proud…joyfully walking with him through the gates of Heaven…no more pain!!
Her spunk, her determination, her spirit lives on in us…she was our rock. And, because of her donation, eyesight will now be possible for one of two fortunate people.
