HOWARD, Gary David 2/26/1952–4/25/2011. Our loss is Heaven’s gain! We were wealthy in the love and companionship of Gary Howard. Words cannot suffice to tell all about the man. You had to know him for yourself! He was preceded in death by his parents, Leighton & Thelma Howard, of Cincinnati, Ohio. Survived by his children, son & daughter-in-law, Jason & Shelley Howard of West Chester, Ohio, and daughter & son-in-law, Tisha & Mike Davenport of Felicity, Ohio. Beloved Papa of Corey Howard, Kara Howard, Ashley Davenport, Amanda Davenport, Amy Davenport. Dear brother of Mary Rebecca Haney of Palestine, Texas, Greg Howard of Cincinnati, Ohio, Geoff Howard of Fairfield, Ohio, and Cynthia Renee Muscarella of Lexington, Ky. Gary had numerous friends and loved ones in Palestine, Texas, where he has resided for the past twelve years; Patricia Harrison, Richard & Stephanie Harrison, David & Angela Carr, and Tyler, Madison, Hunter, Brennan, Zackery, Sean, McKayle, Gabrielle, and Brianna, to whom he was Papa Gary. He had numerous friends amongst his neighbors at the Dogwood Apartments in Palestine, TX. with whom he loved to sit and “shoot the breezeâ€! Gary was a man of good humor who loved pulling pranks on friends and family! He loved helping others. He loved his family. He loved cars, especially GTOs, and was a much sought after mechanic. He attended Aiken High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. He retired from Thriftway Foodstores in Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended Carthage Apostolic Church, now Covenant Church, in Cincinnati, Ohio, where his Memorial Service was held on Friday April 29.
