Gary Thomas Brusman Sr. passed away at the age of 81 from COVID-19.
Gary was funny, kind, and loved by all who knew him. Even during his last days, his nurses called him a “delight” and “wonderful.” Gary was deeply spiritual with a profound faith in God. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge of scripture and church history. He ended almost every conversation with a heartfelt “God Bless.” Gary was proud of his U.S. Coast Guard service and had a lifelong love of boats and the water.
Gary’s greatest joy was his family. He was born in Cincinnati Ohio, to Thomas and Marian Brusman. He had six siblings whom he loved dearly: Ken (Patty) Brusman, Sharon Jansen, Gloria Brusman, Ronald (Roxanne) Brusman, Mike (Joyce) Brusman, and Judy (Mike) Myers.
He will be missed most of all by his beloved wife Evelyn of 56 years, their four children: Gary Brusman Jr., Susan Luken, Lori (Brian) Brusman Lovins, Sheri Williams, and their eight grandchildren: Alix (Matt) Bowser, Adrienne (Anthony) Brannen, Mark Williams, David (Maggie) Luken, Jesse Russell, & Samuel, Henry, and Walter Lovins. He is also survived by eight cherished great-grandchildren: Maddie, Violet, Stella, Zach, William, Sophia, Aiden, and baby Brannen on the way.
