NELTNER, Gene beloved husband of 64 years to Lois (nee Lonnemann). Loving father of Terry (Ted) Chapman, Cheryl (Jim) Kircher, Tom (Janet Fox) Neltner, Ed (Kim) Neltner and the late Nancy Neltner. Grandfather of Kevin Kircher, Beth (Ashley) Chance, Jamie Kircher, Eric (Sarah) Chapman, Brian Neltner, Mark (Megan) Chapman, Julie (Joe) Kuhn, Katie (Kevin) Siefker, Steven Neltner, Angela (Brian) Siefert, Michael, Chris and Rachel Neltner. Great grandfather of Samantha, Austin, and Avery Chance; Noah and Hannah Chapman; Declan, Benjamin and Luke Siefert; and Korinne and Kourtney Siefker. Gene was a passionate woodworker and volunteer. He volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul for 53 years, Drake Hospital for 40 years and St. Vivian Church, including landscaper and server for daily mass, and taking Communion to the sick. Gene passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the age of 88. Visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6041 Hamilton Avenue, College Hill, 45224 on Tuesday, February 6th, TODAY from 4-7:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vivian Church, 7600 Winton Rd, 45224 on Wednesday at 10 AM. Donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Vivian.
