Genevieve Helen Harden

October 11, 1923 — July 17, 2022

Genevieve Helen Harden died peacefully July 17 at the age of 98 at Twin Towers Senior Living Community in Cincinnati. She was born in Mayville, WI to Martin and Otilia Bachhuber, the third of four children. She attended Mayville High School and the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater, worked in teaching and banking in Milwaukee, and married Robert Harden, her beloved husband of 66 years. She moved to Cincinnati with her family in 1966, and resided there for most of the last 56 years. She was a member of St. Bartholomew’s parish in Finneytown, and a Meals-on-Wheels and Providence Hospital volunteer. She is survived by her four children, Thomas M. Harden (Sylvia Mihich) of Lexington, MA, Judy Wood (Daniel Mader) of Cincinnati, Joseph G. Harden (Diane Harden) of Garland, TX, and John R. Harden (Susan Harden) of Bluffton, SC; by 7 grandchildren, Cara Zestermann, Stephanie Osborne, Jennifer Hendricks, Robert J. (R.J.) Harden, Sara Mihich Harden, Ashley Maddalena, and Jaye Mihich Harden; by 13 great-grandchildren; by her sister-in-law Marie Bachhuber, and by a niece and 6 nephews. Her family remembers her as a loving mother and grandmother, and for her kind and empathetic heart. Funeral on Thursday July 28, 2022, at Twin Towers, 5343 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45224, with visitation at 11:30 a.m. and Mass in Wilson Chapel at 12:30; burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
