George Omer Parent

PARENT, George O. Beloved husband of the late Fern Dell Parent. Loving father of Bruce Parent and Susan Hopp (Bill Newell). Adoring grandfather of Megan (Will) Smith. Doting great grandfather of 3. George served as a Marine during WW II. His work for GE included the lighting of Central Trust Tower in downtown Cincinnati. He was active until the end playing golf, gardening, square dancing and bridge. His fierce independence led him to be seen around the community of Finneytown on his three-wheeled bike. He managed computer user skills after his loss of vision. Passed Monday, September 25, 2017, at the age of 94. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northminster Presbyterian Church, 703 Compton Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45231.
