George Thomas "Papa" Sandusky, age 76, of Kings Mills, Ohio, passed away on May 2, 2024. He was born on August 23, 1947, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Robert and Jean Sandusky.
George was a dedicated husband of 55 years to Sally Sandusky and a loving Papa to Melanie (Jeff) Kuehner, Julie (Patrick) Vail, and Kate (Shane) Harden and their nine grandchildren - Ty (Cassidee), Gabriel, Colin, Bradley, Isaac, Eden, Lydia, and Ian. George is also survived by his brothers, Jeffery and Craig, along with his beloved grand dogs, Gracie, Charlie, Chewie, and Violet, and great grand cats, Marshmallow, Ivy, and Gus.
George proudly served in the Army, stationed in Germany from 1970 to 1972. After his military service, he pursued a successful career as an Aerospace Engineer for General Electric Aircraft Engines for 40 years. George was a graduate of Bentley High School in Livonia, MI, and the University of Michigan. He received his MBA from Xavier University.
In his free time, George enjoyed gardening, playing games and cards, attending his grandchildren's events, solving jigsaw puzzles, and woodworking.
He was a devoted member of Branches Church where his Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 6451 Arborcrest Rd, Loveland, OH 45140.
The service will include a time for receiving family and friends from 10-11am, followed by the Celebration of Life from 11am-12pm, and a lunch reception at 12pm.
George will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love and dedication will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
