George Zuefle

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of George R. Zuefle on March 30, 2025. George was a beloved husband, father and grandparent. He faced life with a positive attitude and a heart of giving.

Join us in celebrating George’s life on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Bethany Church, 6388 Cincinnati Dayton Road, Liberty Township, Ohio 45044. The visitation will be held at 10:00 am with a funeral service following at 11:00 am. We are comforted in knowing he is with loved ones that have passed on before him, breathing easily and seeing in color. George is survived by his wife, Margaret Zuefle of 21 years, Daughters, Sandra and Joan (Christopher) grandchildren Samantha (Justin), Branden (Brooke), Ethan, and Emma and great grandchildren Beau and Bailey, Step Daughters Lana (Stan), Libby (Patrick) and Leigh (Scott), Step Grandchildren, Blake (Kristi), Austin (Hailey), Peyton (Dustin), McKenzie, Caroline, Cooper, and Sailor and Step Great Grandchild Bexley.

George was preceded in death by his loving wife of 38 years, Barbara Zuefle, parents, Dorthy and Russell Zuefle and in laws Stanley and Joann Blanck.

George worked at General Electric as a life management engineer for 41 years before retiring in 2006. He made lifelong friends and relationships with colleagues over his distinguished career. While receiving many awards during his tenure at General Electric he was most proud of receiving the Robert B. Ingraham Memorial Award for Young Engineer in 1978.

Throughout his life George was a friend to all and took care of those around him. He always had good advice and extended a hand to help.

George, formally a member of Faith Methodist Church, was a member of Bethany Church of West Chester Ohio.

George was a prolific reader and spent many years listening to books from talking books he received through the Ohio Library for the Blind and Print Disabled. Memorial Visitation will take place at Bethany Church, 6388 Cincinnati Dayton Rd, Liberty Township, OH 45044, on Monday, April 14, 2025 from 10AM until time of Funeral Service at 11am. Celebration of Life will immediately follow at church.
