Evelyn Ray Blosser

Grace Evelyn Ray Blosser, age 90, passed peacefully to be with her Lord early Thursday, December 13, 2018. She was born near Somerset, Kentucky on May 7, 1928, the seventh child of Ezra and Bratchie Baker Hall. Throughout her entire life, Evelyn served in Sunday School and teen ministries in Nazarene churches, including Cincinnati Chase Avenue, Delaware, OH and Monroe, OH. She was a graduate of Hughes High School, Cincinnati, in 1947. She married Joseph Ray of Vine Grove, KY in November 1949, who preceded her in death in 1975. She and Joe were the parents of six children and she enjoyed her life as a homemaker. In 1984 Evelyn married Homer Blosser of Delaware, OH, who passed away in 2001. She is survived by son Joseph (Pamela) Ray of Cincinnati; daughter Cynthia (Timothy) Anderson of Xenia, OH; daughter-in-law Michelle Ray Meyer of Cincinnati; daughter Rebecca (Dr. Michael) Hendrixson of Mason, OH; and daughter Tamara (Michael) Flynn of Cincinnati. Additionally by step-son Gregory (Sophie) Blosser of Barnesville, GA and step-daughter Pamela (Mark) Williams of Ostrander, OH. She was a precious grandma to nineteen, great-grandma to twenty-four, and great-great grandma to seven. She is also survived by her brother Jay Hall, brother-in-law James McCord and many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, sons Gregory Ray and Stephen Ray, four brothers and three sisters. Evelyn will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of her life will take place at Monroe Church of the Nazarene, 400 Macready Avenue, Monroe, on Monday, December 17 at 11:00 with Pastor Steve Grooms officiating. Visitation will be held before the service from 9:00 until 11:00 at the church. Burial will be at Crown Hill Memorial Park in Colerain Township. Hodapp Funeral Home of Liberty Township is in charge of the services.
