BOLLIN, Gregory J. “Howie” Beloved husband of Mary Bollin (Schehl) for 48 years. Loving father of Becky (Joe) Dowd, Nick (Bambi) Bollin, Jeff Bollin and Mary Elizabeth (Nate) Staley. Cherished grandfather of Joey, Grace, Lakin, Annette, Zachary, Marilyn and Sloan. Dear brother of Bob (Elaine) Bollin, Mark (Karen) Bollin, Beth (Gary) Kay and Tim (Lori) Bollin. Brother-in-law of Steve (Pam) Schehl, Elaine (Rick) Sunnenburg, Patty Barman and Pam (Mike) Roller. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Howie, the “Mayor” of White Oak, started his 48 year career in banking as a teller in St. Bernard. During Greg‘s career at The Winton Savings and Loan Company, he was Executive Vice President, Director of Lending and Chairman of the Loan Committee. He was also involved in the Savings and Loan industry, serving as a President of the Cincinnati Chapter of the Savings and Loan Institute of Southwest Ohio, and later he was named as the Ohio Governor of the Savings and Loan Institute. He was well known in the savings and loan industry, but was most proud of his Pillar of the Community Award given to him by LaSalle High School. Greg commenced his dedication to community service during his years on the LaSalle Student Council and has been an instrumental force in the cohesiveness and development of LaSalle alumni. He served as cofounder and co-chairman of the LaSalle Sports Stag, one of the most elite sports events in Cincinnati. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Howie passed away on July 2, 2023 at the age of 68. Visitation will take place at the LaSalle High School 3091 North Bend Rd. Monday July 10th from 4PM until 7PM. Please enter the cafeteria through the courtyard. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. James the Greater Church 3565 Hubble Rd., White Oak, Tuesday, July 11th at 10:30AM. Interment immediately following at St. James Cemetery. A celebration of life will follow the burial at the Betsch Fieldhouse 3469 White Oak Dr. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Hodapp Funeral Home.
