A devoted husband, incredible father and pawpaw, loving brother, son and friend to so many, Gregory Dean Nabors, age 58, of West Chester, OH, passed away in the comfort of his home on July 5, 2024.
He was born in Atlanta, GA in 1965 to Patricia and Cecil Nabors, where Greg proudly served our country in the Army before spending nearly 40 years as an accomplished carpenter and General Contractor. Anyone who knew Greg likely spent wonderful moments sitting on one of the deck’s Greg built, jamming out to music and admiring the beautiful plants and flowers he and Carolyn nurtured and grew together. These memories will always be filled with Greg on the grill, making his famous wings and just about anything else your heart desired. These special times were also had with family and friends at their dream house on Lake Cumberland, where Greg hosted his loved ones as captain of the boat, leading fisherman and of course, grill master at the ends of those fun summer and fall days.
Greg was overjoyed to be the best dad to his son William (Will), and boy did he deliver! There from the very start, Greg never missed a game and was present in co-parenting with William’s mother, Melissa (Missy). His most recent pride and joy were his two grandsons, Vaelin and Declan, that will know and learn about their pawpaw for all his greatness.
Greg met the love of his life, Carolyn, in 1997. They began making some of their greatest memories early on, including their trip to India, which is still spoke of and cherished today. They wed in November 2003, where their special unity represented not only their undevoted support and love for each other, but began an expanded family and incredible adventures over the years to follow.
A big brother to Chris and Lisa, deep sea fishing and trips to Biloxi are fond memories, followed by a general sense of protection from our gentle giant.
Everyone who knew Greg knew how much he loved his son and grandsons, his “muffin” Carolyn, and of course being outdoors, whether it was building, boating, fishing or hunting.
Greg was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia, father, Cecil, and is survived by his wife Carolyn, son William (Lauren), brother Christopher (Loretta), sister Lisa (Chase), grandsons Vaelin and Declan and Aunt Ellen; fur babies Henry and Jake.
