Harold Wayne Noffsinger

April 2, 1943 — August 20, 2020

Wayne was born in Paris, Kentucky on April 2, 1943 to Estil and Rowena Noffsinger, their only child.  He married Trudy in 1962 in Detroit, Michigan after meeting her at Georgetown College.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Trudy, two daughters, Cheri Cartwright and Kathryn Roosa, two son-in-laws, Douglas Cartwright and Tom Roosa, and three grandsons, Ryan Cartwright, Jared Cartwright and Adam Roosa.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Healthy.

Wayne had an Associate’s Degree in Claims from the Insurance Institute of America.  He became a Kentucky Colonel after a nomination of the Founder of Bradford Adjustment Service, Ed Bradford, for whom Wayne worked for many years.

After retirement, Wayne and Trudy traveled for three years in their Class A, Pace Arrow RV with winters in Florida.  In 2000, when their first grandchild was born, the couple parked the RV full-time and child care was the focus for the next seventeen years, from soccer games to school events and graduations.

Wayne’s life-long love of racing spread to his grandson, Adam, who is currently attending college at UNOH, a school Grandpa introduced to him to while Adam was in high school.  Ryan, an active-duty Marine, took his love of country from his Grandpa and Great Grandad.  Jared, the youngest, has Grandpa’s heart of gold and free-spirit to follow his own path in life.

Throughout his life, Wayne supported his family, from Girl Scouts to car shows and even a steel band concert, he was always there.  For thirteen years, Trudy served as the Treasurer for the Mt. Healthy Alliance, a non-profit organization pulling the resources of the area churches to serve the community.  Wayne kept the home, and grandsons, in order, so Trudy could serve the community.  Throughout his life, Wayne served as a church Trustee, Youth Leader, and in any capacity he was needed.  His love of God and Family were endless.

In leu of flowers, the family would ask for a donation to be made in his name to the Mt. Healthy Alliance. www.mthealthyalliance.org

The family is holding a private service on September 4th. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio.
