Harriet “Hap” Wolf Arnold, 90, widow of Roger F. Arnold, died May 5, 2018, at her residence at Ohio Living Llanfair.
She was born July 27, 1927, in Cincinnati, a daughter of the late Dale and Ruth Howell Wolf. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, John and Arthur Wolf, and three sisters, Wynne W. Lyon, Marjorie W. Smith and Enid W. White.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth Arnold and Lou Dolive, of Staunton, VA, and Carol and Douglas Burks of Norwood; three grandchildren, Caroline Dolive and Leigh Harrison of Washington, D.C., William Dolive and Meagan Alley of Arlington, VA, and Paul and Samantha Burks of Cary, NC; one great-granddaughter, Fiona Burks; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Hap was a lifelong resident of Norwood. A graduate of Norwood High School and Oberlin College, she was dedicated to the Norwood Presbyterian Church, and was an active community member, serving as a substitute teacher and volunteering over the years with the YWCA, the Norwood Service League, Meals on Wheels, Sharon Woods Village, and the Evanston Norwood Coalition for which she was presented with the Martin Luther King, Jr., Award by the Norwood Ministerial Association in 1991.
A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, May 26, 2018, from 1-2 PM with service at 2 PM at the Chapel at Ohio Living Llanfair, 1701 Llanfair Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45224, Rev. Chris White officiating.
