Harrison "Skip" Francis

Harrison "Skip" Francis, 68, died peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on May 3, 2015. Skip was born in Lee County, KY on April 12, 1947 to his parents Robert and Juanita Francis. He attended Eastern Kentucky University before joining the Navy in 1967. After serving his country for five years he returned to Middletown, OH and attended Miami University. He married Kathy Miller in 1972 and the couple had two children, John and Abigail. Skip worked at Armco Steel for 36 years before retiring in 2006. Skip  is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kathy; his son John (Tina Swisher) and his granddaughter Kai; his daughter Abigail (Uzi); his father Robert; his sister Kitty (Robert March); his brother Rob (Suzanne); his sister Joyce Ann (Rich Lentes); and several nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his mother, Juanita. Visitation services will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home in Liberty Township, 6410 Cincinnati-Dayton Rd., 45044 on Tuesday, May 12, from 5-7 p.m. The family asks that donations be made in Skip's honor to the Wounded Warrior Project and Hospice of Dayton.
