Helen Childrey Qualley
March 8, 1931 — July 18, 2017
Helen Childrey Qualley passed away on July 18, 2017 at the age of 86. A caring woman with a deep, positive faith and an abiding love of family, Helen smiled with her heart and laughed with her eyes. The daughter of a tobacco farmer, Helen was born in Tollesboro, Kentucky. She graduated from Norwood High School and married John Smith Qualley (1923-2001) in 1949. She was a life-long, active member in the United Methodist Women’s and Christian Fellowship groups. She is survived by her children: Donna Qualley (husband Chuck Finnigan), John Qualley (wife Donna), Steve Qualley (wife Mary), Linda Walch (husband John), and Susan Qualley, grandchildren: Hannah and Audra Qualley and Kayla and Bobby Walch, and her older sister Georgia (Nelson). Four siblings preceded her in death: Virginia Hornbeek, Frank Childrey, Pauline Heinisch, and Gary Childrey (who died soon after childbirth). Memorial services will be held in the Wilson Chapel at Twin Towers, 5343 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio at 1PM on July 28th 2017.
