Helen Sizemore

Helen (Ledford) Sizemore, graduated to heaven on the evening of Saturday, October 11th while surrounded by her family. Her children and grandchildren took turns sitting around her bedside, holding her hand and whispering prayers over her and sharing… In those moments, there were tears shed, hymns and worship songs sung, and laughter from the antics of a very large family in a very small room.

Helen’s greatest passion and joy was her family. If you had asked her what her greatest accomplishment was she would have answered that it was her family, their happiness and their success.

Helen was born in Redbird, Kentucky on November 24, 1929.

She resided in Bethany, Ohio for over 55 years. A majority of those years with her husband Steve (Junior) and their growing family.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband Steve Sizemore and her son Charles Timothy Sizemore. She now awaits the arrival of the remainder of her family so she can great them and escort them into her new heavenly home. She temporarily leaves behind: son Taylor Bruce Sizemore and wife Kim of Liberty Township, Ohio, Glenda Mae Elam of Fairfield, Ohio, Steve Sizemore, Jr. and wife Leticia of Williamsburg, Ohio, Mary Kristi Sizemore Brashear of Oceanside, Ca, Marsha Lee Sizemore Peace of Ann Arbor, MI, John Foxx Sizemore and wife Lisa of Liberty Township, Ohio.

She leaves behind a multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Because of the way they honored their “Mamaw” in her last days I want to honor them by naming each grand child: Mark Elam of Franklin, Ohio along with his wife Amy and their 5 children. Charity Lea Sizemore of Hamilton, Ohio and her daughter. Steve Sizemore 4th and his wife Lindsay of Anchorage, AL and their 4 children. Julie Sizemore Thompson and her husband Donny along with their 3 children. Donald Ray Elam(Butch) of Franklin, Ohio and his 4 children. Charles Timothy Bruce Sizemore of Liberty Township, Ohio, Ashlee Sizemore Laub and her husband Steve of Liberty Township, Oh and their daughter. Timothy Brashear of Liberty Township, Ohio. Robert Boice of Liberty Township, Ohio, Megan Leann Boice of Montgomery, Ohio. Zachary Brashear of Liberty Township, Ohio, Steven Isenhart of Tampa, FL, Chloe Sizemore of Liberty Township, Ohio, Ryan Sizemore of Williamsburg, Oh. Taylor Bruce Sizemore of Liberty Township, Oh. John Timothy Bruce Sizemore of Williamsburg, Oh. Henry Lee Sizemore of Liberty Township, Oh. Raquel Chasteen of Liberty Township, Oh. In total she had 7 children, 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Chuck Wolfinbarger. Services to be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at:

Visitation will start for friends and extended family at 11am. Service will begin at Noon.

Burial will take place at Spring Hill Cemetery located at 6894 Princeton Road.

We would like to extend a grateful heartfelt thanks to Crossroads Hospice and their staff for their caring hands and loving hearts as they took care of our precious mama in her last hours. We will never be able to say thank you enough.
