GROTE Herbert E., beloved husband of Louise Grote (nee Speeg) for 71 years. Loving father of Beverly (Donald) Hostiuck, Gary (Elsa) Grote, Skip (Jenny) Grote, Gail (John) Groene, and Russell (Carolyn) Grote. Dear grandfather of Angela (Marc) Bloom, Todd Hostiuck, Eric (Kelly) Grote, Brian (Shannon) Grote, Alicia (Ben) Mirtes, Brad (Jessica) Groene, Allison (Michael) Berning, Johnny Groene, Ryan, Patrick, and Kevin Grote. Great-grandfather of Sydney, Chase and Genevieve “Gigi” Bloom, Mason, Anders, Kaylin, Leah, and Owen Grote, Elizabeth “Ellie” and Abigail “Abbie” Groene, and Henry Mirtes. Brother of Ethel Grote and Raymond (Edythe) Grote. Passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the age of 92. Mr. Grote was a long-time employee of P&G for 32 years. He was also a proud member of the 38^th bomb group “Green Dragons”. He flew 52 missions over New Guinea and the Philippine Islands. Visitation will be held at the St. James of the Valley Church, 411 Springfield Pike, Wyoming, Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 9 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45206.
