Hermine Brickweg

Brickweg, Hermine S (nee Bemesderfer) Beloved wife of 26 years to John Brickweg. She was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Reid, who she was also married to for 26 years. She was a loving mother to Sondre Harteis. She leaves behind her grandchildren Nicole (Matt) Parrish, Cody, and Maggie as well as her great-grandchildren, Nico and Aspen. She is survived by brother George (Dianne) Bemesderfer and In-Laws James (Paula) Brickweg, Tom Brickweg, Don (Lois) Brickweg and David (Joni) Brickweg. She passed on Tuesday, January 3 of 2023. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 am on Tuesday, January 10th at Hodapp Funeral Home 7401 Vine St., Carthage, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Valley 330 W. Vine St., Reading, at 11 am. Hermine was a devout Catholic and member of Our Lady of the Valley Church where she was an active member in the Altar Rosary Society. In her life, she loved music, good food, and spending time with loved ones. Despite her blindness, she was adventurous. She loved going on hikes and even tried white-water rafting. Her sense of humor and sweet demeanor will be missed.
