Herschel Gilbert, beloved husband of Verna Gilbert of 28 years, loving father of Mark Gilbert, Jamie (Miranda) Gilbert, the late Brian Gilbert, Lesia (Dennis) Poovey, Sandy (David) Kaminsky, Tracey (Scott) Riley, Jackie Berrier, grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.
Herschel was loved by all his family and friends, he particularly loved spending time with his family watching his grandchildren play all their sporting events. Whether it was soccer, football, softball, or rodeo, if his grandkids were involved, he loved to watch. He also loved spending time fishing and enjoying nature.
Herschel was very strong in his faith and showed it by being a very kindhearted dependable person. He was loved by many and will be missed by even more.
Herschel passed away on January 17, 2021 at the age of 80, a visitation will be held Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Kings Point Church of God, 5600 OH-48, Maineville, OH 45039, from 11 until time of service at 12 noon.
