Jack Klumpe

KLUMPE, Jack, a retired photographer for The Cincinnati Post who chronicled the life of Greater Cincinnati for four decades, died Jan. 9 on St. Simons Island, Ga., where he had lived the past three and a half years. Friends are invited to a committal service at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at the Lakeside Mausoleum at Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Ave., Winton Place. The Rev. Jeff Hosmer of Northminster Presbyterian Church, where Mr. Klumpe was a member, will officiate. Mr. Klumpe, 94, leaves a son, Kerry Klumpe (Peggy Golden) of St. Simons Island; a daughter, Christine Eldon (Michael), and a granddaughter, Lauren Eldon, all of Emerald Hills, Calif. His wife of 66 years, Marie Kathryn Klumpe, died Dec. 19, 2010. The family suggests that memorial gifts be made to the Northminster Presbyterian Church Endowment Fund, 703 Compton Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45231.
