James C. Dapper

James is the loving husband of 67 years to the late Mary Fay (nee Truss). Beloved father of the late Mark Dapper, Susan (Philip) Pahner, Michael (Pam) Dapper, Amy (Willard) Overstreet, Dan (Frank Pena) Dapper, Molly (Dan) Davenport and the late Theresa Dapper. Dear grandfather of Sarah, Jenny, Julia, Patty, Eddie, Matt, Christopher, Nathan, Alexandra and Will. Great grandfather of Grayson, Cora, Mikey, Ira and George. Uncle of 4 nieces and 3 nephews.

Jim was born on January 16, 1926 in Cincinnati and was the devoted son of the late Clarence and Loretta Dapper. Jim was a graduate of Purcell High School, studied electrical engineering at the University of Dayton and received his Masters at the University of Cincinnati. Jim was an early television pioneer with the Crosley Corporation. Followed by engineering in electronic aviation defense, with radar, electro-optical, and infrared technologies with Avco and Cincinnati Electronics. His strong faith guided his life. In his retirement years, daily life was dedicated to his family first, and rounded with his interest in genealogy and a wide-ranging curiosity in many subjects. Truly, an eternal student.  A lover of sports, he enjoyed playing golf and tennis with his wife, Fay. Jim died peacefully, surrounded by family on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at age 95. Jim had a wonderful and full life, as a husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.

Visitation Tuesday, June 29 from 10 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Vivian Church, 7600 Winton Road, Finneytown, 45224.
