James C. Elmore

James “Jim” Elmore. Longtime resident of Elmwood, OH. Born December 3, 1940 in Casey County, KY. Passed away November 11, 2022 at Christ Hospital Cincinnati, OH. Loving husband of Margaret Lee Elmore (nee Frederick) for 47 years and 10 months. Devoted father of Martie Elmore, Aleisha (Randy) Watts, Alex Elmore, Amy (Marc) Fleak. Best Papaw in the world to Jared (Amber)Watts, Stephanie Watts, Jacob Elmore, Gabrielle Fleak, Sydney Fleak and Trevor Fleak. Great grandpa to Sadie Watts and Lane Watts. Loving brother of Virginia (Rose) Roy and Wanda McAnich. Great friend and jokester to his many sister in laws, nieces and nephews and bonus Papaw to many. Preceded in death by his parents Ethridge and Geretha Elmore (nee Buis), sister Marcella Leigh and brothers Bob Elmore and Denton Elmore.  Visitation will take place at the Hodapp Funeral Home 7401 Vine St., Carthage, Thursday from 5PM until 7PM. Funeral service will take place Friday at 12 Noon, at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family would greatly appreciate donations being made to St. Bernard Elmwood Place Jim Elmore Scholarship Fund 105 Washington Ave. St. Bernard, OH 45217 for a student from Elmwood that excels in Academics.
