James F. Rice, MD, born in Hamilton, Ohio, passed away on April 19, 2017 at the age of 88. James was a pilot and instructor in the USAF. He received the Purple Heart, Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with Clusters in the Korean War. James was a Family Practice Physician in College Hill for 35 years. He is survived by his wife Nancy (nee Selby), children Alison, Cindy (Larry Heath), Jim, John and 5 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Purple Heart Foundation or Hospice of Cincinnati. Visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, College Hill on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 11 until funeral service at 12 noon. Condolences at hodappfuneralhome.com
