James K. Wood

WOOD, James K. passed on March 8, 2023 at the age of 91.  Beloved husband of the late Patricia Ann "Patty" Wood (nee Fulton). Loving father of Jim (Thelma), Tom (Suzy), Kathy (Tom) and Mike (Michele).   Cherished grandfather of 9 and great-grandfather of 3. Jim was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard where he played a large part in youth athletics.  He graduated from Roger Bacon High School.  He was an Air Force Veteran and enjoyed a 41 year career at Procter and Gamble.  He was the son of the late Catherine Wood and he enjoyed a special relationship with his late Aunt Madge Frank.  Along with the love of his family he was passionate about cars and air planes.  In his younger years he was an avid pilot and flight instructor. There also was not a thing that he couldn’t fix. A Memorial Visitation will take place at St. Clement Church 4536 Vine St., St. Bernard, Saturday, March 18^th from 9:30AM until Memorial Mass at 11AM.
