James (Jim) Keane was preceded in death by his wife Maureen and was the loving father of Anthony (Laura) Keane, David (Marylou) Keane, Patricia (Gregg) Gentil, James (Audrey) Keane, Elizabeth Keane and Frances (Roderick) Hurley, grandad of Ann (Tyler), Thomas (MacKenzie), Ellen (Brett), Stephanie (Luke), Kaitlyn, and Jared (departed), Kaitlyn, Christine, Theresa (Alex), Daniel (Amanda), Andrew (Ann), Jack, David (Korie), Elissa, Margaret (Marty) and Emily (Nathan) and great-grand daughter Ellison, great-grandsons Easton and Brayden and brother to Mary Revell.
Jim and Maureen emigrated from England with 5 children in 1968 to California. They retired to Clearwater Beach, Florida where he enjoyed golfing and being with family. He was an avid fan of Manchester City Premier Football League. He enjoyed doing all sorts of home repairs and remodeling. He was a member of the Navigators at St. Brendan’s Clearwater Beach, Florida. Jim started his career in England and continued in the US as a mechanical engineer at Mattel, Lionel Trains/Fun-dimensions, and served as VP of Engineering at Kenner and Evenflo. His talents helped bring toys and joy to children across the world.
Jim passed away at the age of 85, a visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home West Chester, 8815 Cincinnati Columbus Rd. (Rt 42), West Chester, OH 45069 on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 from 6 PM until 8 PM
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist in West Chester, (9080 Cincinnati-Dayton Rd, West Chester, OH 45069) on Wednesday, November 16th 2022 at 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association.
