James Clarence Landon

James Clarence Landon, 86, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, after a fight with pneumonia.

James was born on June 10, 1938, to James C. Landon and Norma Beckman Landon in Chicago, IL. After James graduated from St. Ignatius Prep School in 1956, he went on to study Pre-Law and Accounting at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.

After graduating with a degree in Business Accounting, he started his first job at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

He is survived by his first wife, Lois L Curtin, and children from his first marriage, James Landon (Lisa), Mark Landon (Lisa), Cari Sanders (Ty), Margo Clasgens, Mary Proctor (Tom), Emily Smith (Jason), Eric Landon (Molly) and preceded by Lisa Lamping (Kris).

He is preceded in death by his second wife, Joanne Martin Landon, and their surviving son Robert Dauer (Herlyn).

Also, survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Brittany Smith (Kyle), Declan, Tinley, Alessia, Maizie, Lindsey Zuzich(John), Charlie, Annabelle, Jacob Landon, Collin Lamping(Montana), Sutton, Asher, Jenna Bowerman(John), Connor Lamping, Dustin Sanders(Chi), Hali Sanders, Vincent Clasgens, Abbie Trotter(Andrew), Jack Proctor, Jonah Smith, Elyn Smith, Emma Landon and Sarah Landon.

Services will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 11:30AM at Divine Mercy Parrish, 318 Division St., Bellevue, KY 41073. Internment of ashes immediately following at St. Stephen Cemetery, 1523 Alexandria Pike, Ft. Thomas, KY 41075.
