James Michael "Jimmy" Gorski died unexpectedly at University of Cincinnati Hospital on January 4, 2016 at the age of 60. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mary Nell Barrord Gorski of Liberty Township; his daughters Kathleen "Katie" (Brenden) Alexander of Andover, Massachusetts and Michelle "Missy" (Dan) Matusicky of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren Sloane Josephine Alexander, Augustine "Gus" Vincent Alexander, Anneliese "Eilie" Danielle Matusicky, and Vincent Michael Matusicky; brother Robert (Peggy) Gorski of New Lenox, Illinois and sisters Barbara (Jerry) Sergio of Waukesha, Wisconsin and Jodie (Frank) Marinaro of Miller Place, New York; He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Dorothy Gorski of Chicago, Illinois. Jimmy was born on November 16, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from John Carroll University in 1977 with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, and obtained an MBA from JCU in 1987. Jimmy enjoyed community service, including delivering Meals-on-Wheels for 17 years, teaching first grade religion class at St. John the Evangelist Church for 12 years, serving as President of the Welbourne Manor Homeowners Association and coaching various children's soccer and basketball teams. He was self-employed as owner of Kami Fund Consulting and as a CPA. A wake is scheduled for Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 5-7:00PM at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati Dayton Rd., Liberty Twp., OH 45044. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, January 8, 2016 at St. John's Church, 9080 Cincinnati Dayton Rd., West Chester, OH 45069.
