James E. Schwerman

James E. Schwerman, 68, of West Chester, Ohio passed away on Friday February 3, 2023. Jim was a loving and devoted husband and father of two. Jim and his wife, Marianne (nee Reckers), were married for 35 years. He was a loving father to Elizabeth Mary and Gregory James. Born to Dorothy and George Schwerman of Northern Kentucky, Jim was a graduate of Northern Kentucky University and received his Master's Degree from Kentucky State University. He worked for the Department of Defense for 30 years. After retirement he enjoyed traveling, photography and cooking.

He is survived by his sister, Janet (Huseyin) Tektas, brother, Donald Schwerman, multiple nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.   Visitation will be held Thursday February 9th, from 5pm-7pm, at Hodapp Funeral Home in West Chester. Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday February 10th, at 10 am, at St. Michael in Sharonville followed by a short ceremony at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of giving flowers, the family asks that those who are able instead make a donation to the American Heart Association, City Gospel Mission, or organization of donors choice.
