Janice May

Janice “Jan” Lynn May (nee Partington), age 80 of Cincinnati passed away on Thursday, December 29^th after fighting a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease and Dementia.  She was born in Youngstown, Ohio on November 5, 1942, daughter of the late Roger and Margaret “Peggy” Partington (nee Drake) of Vandalia, Ohio.  Jan’s true passion in life was being a loving wife, parent, grandparent, great-grandparent, and foster parent.  Jan was a faithful believer in God.  She was a wonderful person and will be terribly missed.  Fly high with your red birds our sweet lady.

She was proceeded in death by her father and mother-in-law Henry and Stella May, brother Mark Partington, brother-in-law Thomas Bradrick, brother-in-law Keith Scott, sister-in-law Marlene May, niece Kathryn Smith, niece Ashley Partington, foster son Maurice “Reecie”.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years Dale May.  Her eight children:  Margaret “Peggy” Moorman (Michael); Kelly Kunau (Roger); William “Tim” McDonald; Jacob (Alicia) May, Joshua (India) May; Rebekah “Mattie” May (Ricky); Jeremiah May (Tiana); Hannah May (James).  Her 15 Grandchildren:  Trisha Parry (Domenic “Dom”), Conor Moorman, Samuel Kunau, Logan Moorman, Noah May, Noelle May, Anyla May, Malik May, Navi May, Alivia May, Greyson Davis, Maurice “Reese” May, Gunner Garcia, and Miah Lynn Spells.  Her five Great Grandchildren:  Elise Justice, Myra Justice, Camile Travis, Daphne Travis, and Jamison Travis.  Her sister Anne Bradrick (Jack); brother and sister-In-laws:  Ronald May, Donald (Karen) May, Derene (Steve) Rindler, Regene (Gordon) Loggins and Marlene Scott.  Many nieces and nephews.  Longtime family friend Carol Parry Pearson.

Visitation will take place on Friday, from 10 am until time of funeral service at 11 am, at the Hodapp Funeral Home in Liberty Township, 6410 Cincinnati Dayton Road, Liberty Township, OH 45044.

Burial will follow at Polk Grove Cemetery after the funeral service.

Food and Fellowship will be held at 3:00 at Eagles Lake Condominium Clubhouse, 5150 Shore View Run, Cincinnati, OH  45248
