Jared (Buster) Downey

Jared (Buster) Kain Downey a loving son, brother, and friend to many unexpectedly passed on October 24^th at the young age of 21.  Born on May 20, 1999, the son of Jason Downey and Alicia Graves. He leaves behind three siblings: Jacob Downey, Kayla Downey, Joseph Downey, and many loving friends.

Jared was the most kind, loving, confident, and compassionate human you would ever meet.  He enjoyed, playing games and chilling with his friends. He liked to live each day to its fullest, and helped others to do this too. He brought out the best in everyone he met, pushed them to do better and be the best they could be. He always put a smile on your face even if you didn’t want him too. His music taste was mediocre at best but you would hear him singing wherever he went. He was the kind of person who played Red Dead Redemption with a 90-year-old grandmother and her granddaughter. He is a beautiful, innocent soul gone but never forgotten.

A visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, 7401 Vine St., Carthage, on Saturday, November 14^th from 12 noon until 2 pm.
