Jean Marian Wiggins

Wiggins, Jean Marian (Schaefer) said farewell to family and friends on August 16^th after a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease. She is survived by her husband, Dan, son Scott (Jamie), siblings Sue Kues (John), Jerry Schaefer (Carol), and Steve Schaefer (Chris). Jean was born and raised in Roselawn, attended Regina High School and the College of Mt. St. Joseph, graduating with a degree in mathematics. She taught math at Reading High School for several years before beginning a long career at GE, where she worked in the Jet Engine Simulation group. Jean loved music, especially playing the piano, singing in choral music ensembles, and playing in her church bell choir.  Special thanks to Jean’s caregivers at Mapleknoll Village, UC West Chester Hospital and Hospice of Cincinnati Blue Ash. A celebration of Jean’s life will be held at Greenhills Community Church, Presbyterian 21 Cromwell Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45218 on Saturday, September 9^th at 11 AM.
