Jeanne Marie Mullett passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord on April 21, 2018 surrounded by her children. Jeanne was born on July 11, 1938 in Barberton, Ohio, the daughter of Delmar D. “Red” Bryant and Catherine L. (Groetz) Bryant and the twin of brother James D. “Jim” Bryant. She later became big sister to twins Mary Ann and Betsy and graduated from Magnolia High School in New Martinsville, West Virginia in 1956. After completion of her training at Wheeling Hospital School of Nursing, she married James Robert “Bob” Finley and moved to Dallas, Texas where they raised their children Cathy, Bryan (Margaret) and Jim (Tammy). Jeanne practiced as a Registered Nurse, supporting surgeons, OB/GYN practices, nursing homes and schools. On June 7, 1986, Jeanne married Thomas J. “Tom” Mullett and lovingly accepted Tim (Tina), Robert (Kim) and Tom (Amy) Mullett and their families as her own. From that moment on, she would be known as “Granny” to what would become 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Jeanne and Tom travelled often and regularly hosted family and friends, especially at their home in Hilton Head Island, over their 31 wonderful years together, until his passing in January 2018. Jeanne will be remembered for her love, kindness, generosity, strength, joy, beauty, sparkling personality, sense of humor, affection for pets, devotion to family and strong Catholic faith. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel at The Christian Village at Mason, 411 Western Row, Mason, Ohio with visitation at 6:00 p.m. and service at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. A visitation and rosary will be held at Charles W. Smith Funeral Home, 2925 5th Street, Sachse, Texas from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 29. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Anthony Catholic Church, 404 North Ballard Avenue, Wylie, Texas at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 30. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Duke Children’s Hospital.
