Jennie Helton

Jennie Benita Helton, age 89 of Lebanon, Ohio, Passed away on July 5th 2024.

 She was born in Broadhead, KY and the daughter of Albert and Ella Mae Martin. She graduated from Broadhead High School and moved to the Cincinnati area in the 1950’s where she settled down and eventually started a family. Jennie loved to spend summers at Lake Cumberland and was a big fan of her beloved University of Kentucky Basketball team. She also loved spending time with her family and friends.

 Jennie was proceeded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Helton. She is survived by her sons: Grant Adams and Chris Adams (Tonya), brothers Danny (Juanita) Martin and Brownie (Carol) Martin. Also many nieces, nephews and step family.

 Her family and friends will deeply miss her. She was a fan of country singer Cody Johnson and this verse describes how our mom lived her life:

 “If you got a chance, take it, take it while you got a chance

If you got a dream, chase it, cause a dream won’t chase you back

If your gonna love somebody

Hold ‘em as long and as strong as you can

‘Till you can’t”

 Memorial Visitation will take place at the Hodapp Funeral Homes 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd. (RT 42), West Chester, Ohio on Wednesday, July 31st from 5PM to 7PM.
