Jimmy D. Spencer

Jimmy D Spencer was born July 11, 1947 and passed away on Wednesday, November 24th in Hospice care.

Jimmy was a kind soul who loved his family and his church (Kings Mills Baptist Church). He was born and raised in Kings Mills, Ohio and he loved to reminisce and tell family stories from the past in his hometown.

He never met a stranger and always put others before himself. His hobbies included going to church, watching old movies, eating at his favorite restaurants and he loved collecting lighthouses. Jimmy was selfless, kind, and loving and he will be sorely missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Estel and Martha Spencer of Kings Mills, Ohio.

He is survived by three sons, Jimmy Spencer II (Brenda) of Georgetown, KY; Michael Spencer of Morehead, KY; Bill Spencer(Jennifer) of Flemingsburg, KY; grandchildren, Chandler, Molly, and Emma Spencer; brother to Bobby Spencer (Sherri), Pat Nunn, and Johnny Spencer.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
For thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
Thou anointest my head with oil;
My cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
