Cherished mother of William "Chip" Schoenling (Joan), Lynne Schoenling Uhrich (Jeff), Connie Schoenling Swisshelm (Richard Schrader), Beth Schoenling Welsh (Will), David Schoenling (Heather), Laura Schoenling Deters (Daniel "Buzz"),

15 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Verkamp, sister of Russ (Sue) Verkamp, Ruth Ann (Brad) Lozier, the late Connie (Bill) Flowers, Bob, Tom and Mike Verkamp.

Joan, of Palm Harbor, FL, former longtime resident of Cincinnati, OH was 85 years of age and peacefully passed away, surrounded by family and the dedicated team of Ellie’s Memory Care, on Thursday, November 9, 2023.

Joan was an advocate of education, earning her college degree at age 70 and her masters at age 72. Joan also spent her later years serving on numerous boards within her community.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Hodapp Funeral Home 6041 Hamilton Ave. College Hill 45224 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Celebration of Life and Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, November 17, 2023 at St. Ignatius Church 5222 North Bend Rd. 45247 at 11:00 AM.
