Joan Margaret Schraffenberger

Joan Schraffenberger (Ernst) 84, originally from Sharonville, OH went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on June 13, 2023. Beloved Mother of Keith Schraffenberger (Lisa), Mother in Law to Becky Shultz (Jim). Cherished Grandma to 6 grandchildren Chris (Andrea), Katy (James), AJ (Jess), Neil (Maya), Nick, and Ruben, and sweet “Gigi” to two Great Grandchildren, Ryder and Jaxson. Welcomed in heaven by her parents Richard and Dorothy Ernst, Sister, Carol Grinstead, Daughter, Julie Schraffenberger, Son, Mark Schraffenberger, Ex Husband, Gerald Schraffenberger and life partner, Donald Roll. 

Joan retired from Merrill Dow Pharmaceutical and enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. She had an infectious smile with a bubbly personality that people were immediately drawn towards. The family would like to express their thanks to Optimized Senior Living and The Barrington for making her a part of their family. A special note of gratitude to her “little angel”, Lisa Schraffenberger for her loving care during Joan’s transition years. A Memorial Visitation will be at Hodapp Funeral Home (6410 Cincinnati-Dayton Rd) on June 30th from 10AM until Celebration of Life Service at 11AM.  Reception to follow. If desired, a contribution in her honor may be made to Cheering for Charity (cheering for charity.org), an organization helping people and families dealing with Alzheimer’s.
