QUINLAN, Johanna Elizabeth, 93, of Cincinnati, passed away on Saturday June 21st. She was born to the late Bruno and Anna Pont on May 17th, 1921, in Germany. After the death of her parents in 1930, Johanna moved to Glendale, OH to live with her Aunt and Uncle, William and Ana Menke. Johanna graduated from the Good Samaritan College of Nursing in 1942. In 1942 Johanna married the love of her life, the late George Quinlan. They enjoyed 47 years of happy marriage before he passed away in 1989. Johanna was an avid sports fan and loved to be surrounded by her family. She could often be found cheering on her Reds and spending time with her beloved orange cat, Ollie. Johanna is survived by her four children: Mary Jo(Buddie) Mepham, of Key West; Tim (Kae) of Bellbrook; Tommy of Cincinnati; and Elizabeth (Nigel) Quinlan-Waters of Anderson. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren: Brooks Montgomery, Jennifer (Donald) Lassiter, Brigid (Matthew) Krueger, Ryan (Courtney) Quinlan, Kevan (Beth) Quinlan, Jason (Christie) Quinlan, Rachel Quinlan-Waters, and Megan Quinlan-Waters. She was the proud great-grandmother of ten great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Radio Rosary, P.O. Box 803, Chesire, CT 06410. Visitation will be held at St. James of the Valley Catholic Church (411 Springfield Pike, Wyoming, OH 45215) at 9:30am on Thursday June 26th. Mass of Christian Burial will follow immediately at 11:00am with interment at Gate of Heaven cemetery. Condolences at hodappfuneralhome.com.
