John C. Thatcher III

THATCHER, III, John Carl (Jay), age 65, of Orlando, FL, formerly of Mason, OH, went home to be with the Lord on January 30, 2013. Born January 14, 1948 and raised in Alexandria, Kentucky, he was a graduate of Lexington Baptist College. He is preceded in death by his father, John Clayton Thatcher and mother, Martha Jean Mote. John served as the Pastor of Sharon Baptist Church for 27 years. He worked for Dr. Phillips Charities in Orlando, FL as a Senior Property Manager. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda Cornett Thatcher, three sons, JC (Sara) Thatcher of Memphis, TN, Daniel (Paula) Thatcher of Mason, OH, Nathan (Karenna) Thatcher of Orlando, FL and one grandson, John Michael Thatcher of Memphis, TN. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 8, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. at Sharon Baptist Church, 4451 Fields Ertel Road, Cincinnati, OH 45241. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Sharon Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to Hospice of the Comforter Foundation, 480 W. Central Parkway, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714.
