John Charles Van Gorp

John Charles, loving son of Cornelius and Isabelle Van Gorp. Dear brother of Cornel (Kathleen) Van Gorp, Robert (Nora) Van Gorp and Warren (Amy) Van Gorp. Uncle of Luke, Molly, Nicole, Ian and Casey Van Gorp. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013 at the age of 40 after a long battle with bipolar disorder. We are all saddened by this tragic loss of an amazing young man who tried so hard to be loved and be a productive part of his community. We will remember John as an athletic, smart young man, who graduated with honors from St. Xavier H.S. and holds a B.S. in biology from the University of Cincinnati. He was an accomplished soccer player, skier and competitive swimmer.
