John "Jack" D. Haskins, Jr.

February 19, 1938 — March 16, 2022

John “Jack” Haskins, Jr., age 84, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John D. Haskins, Sr. and Marie Haskins, nee Klenk. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Dottie Haskins, nee Harlan, along with his sister, Carol; three children, Melinda (Joe), Diana (Chris), and John (Jennifer); six grandchildren, Dylan, Jack, Ryan, A.J., Lucy, and Grace; and nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Jack attended Mount Healthy High School, the University of Cincinnati, and the U.S Military Academy. He graduated from U.C. in 1965 with a degree in education. He taught high school math and science at Mt. Healthy High School for 10 years until he retired from teaching to take over the family business - Haskins Hitchen Post.

Jack attended Dayspring Church of God and served on the board of Camp Lebanon. He was a member of Gideons International, and did volunteer mission work in Honduras, Mexico and Africa.
Jack's hobbies were restoring antique cars, working on boats, and attending his grandkids’ sporting events. He was a world traveler who visited many countries and most (if not all) U.S. states during his life, and made many lasting friendships during the course of his travels. Jack is currently reinforcing the concrete footers of the pearly gates.

Visitation for Jack will be Monday, March 28 from 10 am to noon at Dayspring Church of God (1060 Smiley Road, Cincinnati, OH 45240) with a service to follow immediately after. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to Camp Lebanon (http://lebanoncamps.com/) or Dayspring Church of God.
