Beloved husband of Mary. Loving father of Benjamin (Katie Paul), Patrick (Stephanie Dawes), Joey Metz, and Patrick Odongo (Irene). Brother of Jerry Jr. (Debbie), Joe (Carol), Jeff (Marianne), Lorrie (Eric) Bertelsen, Lisa (Shawn) Stiver, Jay (Jill) and the late Jim (Kathy and husband Jim Stack). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins of Pierson, Binzer, and Donnellon families. Preceded by his father and mother, Jerome Metz Sr. and Loretta Donnellon Metz. John was a graduate of Moeller High School (’74) and an active alumnus of Heidelberg University (’78), Tiffin, OH. Passed away Saturday Oct. 31 2020 at age 64. Visitation at Hodapp Funeral Home 6041 Hamilton Ave., 45224 on Friday November 6 from 5pm-7pm. Mass Private due to Covid restrictions. Will be streamed. More information to come.
