John Hearn

John Stephen Hearn, beloved father, son, brother and friend, age 56, went to be with the Lord on December 11, 2011. We will celebrate John’s life on Friday, December 16 to be held at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church at 21620 Mack Avenue, Saint Clair Shores, MI 48080. Visitation at the church will be held from 9 – 10 am with a Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 am. John was born August 5, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Donald and Helen Hearn. He attended St. Juliana Elementary, DeLaSalle and Denby High Schools and Macomb Community College. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Central Michigan University. John worked for many years as the Facilities Director for University Liggett School. He lived in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI; Rockford, MI; and West Chester, OH. John was a loving father who above all, enjoyed spending time with his children, who were the absolute apples of his eye. John is survived by his three children Noelle, Stephen, and Christine of Liberty Township, OH, his sisters Cathy (Richard) Rebecca of Macomb Township, MI and Margaret (Vedagavi) Mohan of Toledo, OH as well as his brothers Larry (Michaelene) Hearn of Clarkston, MI and Raymond (Brenda) Hearn of Holland, MI. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, 5720 Hamilton Mason Rd, Liberty Township, OH 45011 in the name of John Hearn in care of their men’s club.
