John Hulbert

HULBERT, John McBean of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 1, 2022, at the age of 81. Born in Cincinnati, OH in 1940 to the late Frederick McBean Hulbert and the late Elizabeth Price Hulbert. Loving partner of Dawn Petersen; father of Julia Price (nee Hulbert) McMillan, Matthew Hulbert, and Vincent Hulbert; sister of Nancy Hulbert McCue; cousin of Doug Price and Lynne Price Brenan; uncle of Stephen James McCue, Leila McCue Niklas and Margaret McCue Barnes; grandfather and friend to many.

John was a 1958 graduate of Wyoming High School and studied at the University of Cincinnati where he was a loyal member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He also was a proud veteran of the United States Army.

Music was John’s passion in life, especially barbershop quartet and choral music. He directed and sang in multiple barbershop quartets, most notably The Rainbow Connection and directed and sang in a many, many choruses as well.

An Interment of Ashes Ceremony will be held at his final resting place, the Ascension and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church of Wyoming, Ohio.
