GALLAGHER, John P. “Jack,” passed away on February 7, 2014. A lifetime resident of Cincinnati, Jack was a graduate of Roger Bacon HS and Miami University. As a CB in the US Navy, Jack served in the Pacific during WWII. He went on to work in the construction industry and was founder and president of ABS Contractors Supply. An avid Notre Dame fan, Jack was dubbed , “Superscout for the Irish, ” helping recruit athletes from the Cincinnati area including many who became All Americans. In retirement, Jack turned his passions to art. He greatly enjoyed painting out-of-doors and received numerous awards in juried exhibits. He is preceded in death by his parents John J. and Margaret (nee Maloney) Gallagher, wife Joan (nee Kruck) Gallagher, siblings Mildred Hodapp, Margaret Honald, and James Gallagher. He is survived by son John F. “Jake” Gallagher, daughter Joan (Ken) Richmond, granddaughter Cassandra Gallagher and many nieces and nephews of the Hodapp family. Private services to be held.
