John R. Rice

RICE, John R. Beloved husband of Ruth A. Rice (nee Geers) for 73 years. Loving father of Bob (Linda), Dan (Midge), Jim (Judy) and Bill (Josie) Rice. Cherished grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of 26. Dear brother of the late Charlotte (Dr. Paul) Stickley. Passed away October 17, 2022 at the age of 95.  John was a graduate of Purcell Marian High School Class of 1944, and was a proud WWII Veteran serving in the Navy. He was known for being a sweet man that was devoted to his family and his faith. Visitation will take place at St. Clement Church 4536 Vine St., St. Bernard, Saturday from 9:30AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the John and Ruth Rice Scholarship Fund at Roger Bacon High School. Condolences to hodappfuneralhome.com
